Woke up at 4 this morning , with the wind howling and the dark night disturbed by flashes of lightning!
Living in Cape Town at sea level, lightning storms are very rare compared to the rest of South Africa …. I jumped out of bed, sleepily grabbed the camera and tripod and rushed onto the balcony to try and capture the storm … Basically this was shot over about 90 mins with 30 sec exposures. I know it’s not with a mobile, but really wanted to share! (at Table Mountain)

I haven’t done a star trail in a really long time - with onset of dark winter nights and the moon hiding somewhere behind the mountain I thought it would be a good time to capture the stars over the southern end of Africa (at The Citadel)
